POPstar
Rolls Out People Line Enhanced VoIP Services in Vancouver

16, 2005 - Vancouver, BC - POPstar Communications Inc. (POPstar)
has added Number Portability, Directory Assistance, Directory Listings
and other enhanced VoIP services to its current family of People
Line VoIP and FoIP services in Vancouver.
With
number portability People Line's customers can keep their existing
telephone numbers and continue to have phone numbers listed in local
telephone directories. Vancouver
customers will also receive 411, 211 Directory Services for assistance.
The
new services complement People Line's existing offerings of unlimited
local calling, pay-as-you-go long distance, voice mail, call forwarding,
call display, and more. Russ McDermott, Director of People Line,
says, "The new services provided add to our core services and allow
customers to keep their existing numbers when switching to broadband.
They can move more easily to People Line and begin saving on their
phone bills."
People
Line services start at $6.95 / mo for Fax and $9.95 / mo for Voice
and a complete communications suite of services, phone, fax, integrated
email, voice and fax mail messaging services are offered for a low
$19.95 per month. Low-cost Long Distance calling is unbundled from
local services and offered on a pay-as-you-go basis, allowing customers
to pay for only the long distance minutes they use.
McDermott
adds, "we differentiated our service offerings allowing people to
pick and choose between broadband devices, features and services
to suit their needs, also by emphasizing local phone service, feature
enhancements, and other all around savings. The unbundled, pay-as-you-go
long distance approach has proven very popular because it gives
many people, who do not use much long distance, a real alternative
and more incentive to switch to VoIP."
People
Line supports soft phones (software), IP Phones, adapters, gateways
and Wi-Fi (wireless) phones. Customers can mix and match these devices
with their services.
