Peopleline Introduces the Pirelli DP-L10 (Wi-Fi/GSM) Dual Mode Phone for its VoIP Service in Vancouver

Jun 21, 2007 – Vancouver, BC – Peopleline Telecom Inc., Pink Sheets (PPTM) Introduces the Pirelli DP-L10 (Wi-Fi/GSM) Dual Mode Phone for its VoIP Service in Vancouver, BC.

The Pirelli DP-L10 dual mode phone is a GSM/ Wi-Fi handset combines Cell phone GSM tri-band (900/ 1800/1900MHz) capabilities with SIP-based Voice over WLAN 802.11 b/g (VoWLAN) telephony in a single device. The DP-L10 works like a standard cell phone - any GSM SIM card will work - and features such as MMS, e-mail and WAP browsing are available over cellular and WLAN interfaces. The phone also includes a digital camera.

Russ McDermott, President of Peopleline, states, “now we can deliver the convenience of a cell phone and a broadband cordless in ONE phone. Customers can have their home phone and cell phone all on the one phone.”

When traveling the phone's software supports seamless roaming where needed, zerotouch registration and remote manageability. When at home or in office, the Dual Phone automatically switches to the Wi-Fi-enabled fixed connection; making the same mobile services available indoors at a higher speed and a lower cost to customers. For businesses, the phone can be seamlessly integrated with Peopleline's IP PBX products and / or hosted managed IP PBX services.

McDermott adds, “our customers will significantly save on expensive cell phone airtime whether at home or away. Both local and long distance calls can be switched over the Internet using the phone's SIP interface to Peopleline's VoIP service to take advantage of our unlimited local calling and very inexpensive long distance rates. Further impressive savings can be made when traveling since customers can similarly use the Internet for calling home and avoid expensive Cell phone roaming fees.”

The Pirelli DP-L10 adds to Peopleline's product suite of soft phones (software), VoIP sticks (VoIP enabled flash drives), IP Phones, adapters, and gateways. Customers can mix and match these devices with People Line services. Local Residential services are $9.95/mo or $99/yr and multi-line business services start as low as $19.95/mo.
